Save the Sedona Ampetheater

We, the residents and citizens of Sedona, Arizona need to save the ampetheater at the cultural park in west Sedona.

The cultural park is a recreation area, its NOT to be developed into lofts or condos (as is currently being planned). The cultural park belongs to the citizens and tourists who visit this area, its NOT to be owned or developed by the city or any private developer for profit. There are more than 10,000 petition signatures that want to keep the ampetheater intact and refurbished as a future cultural music venue. Currently, the left side of the cultural park has been illegally cut off from the public ( that includes a large parking lot below). The right side of the parking lot is thoroughly overcrowded and is wrongly banning visitors from parking or camping out in this area overnight. Its time to remove the fascist police state "no camping" signs at the park and open up the entire cultural park to everyone, ampetheatre included. This is a recreation area and it belongs to We the People. This is OUR park, residents and visitors alike. Its time to take back what has been stolen from us. There are enough condos and visitor accomodations at the Marriot and at the Hilton nearby. If this area is developed, it will permanently destroy one of the most pristine and beautiful vistas in all of Sedona.

I say put this issue to a VOTE. Let the residents of Sedona and Yavapai county decide what they want done to this area. I highly suspect WE the People will vote to Save the Ampetheater and vote to restore our Cultural Park recreation area back to the communty.
